What is the drinking age in Paris? is this different in Disneyland?

The legal minimum age to purchase wine or beer is 16. Distilled alcoholic beverages requires you to be 18 before you can purchase them.





Please note that there is NO LEGAL MINIMUM AGE TO DRINK. The law only specifies when you can BUY alcohol. Unlike many countries, there is no equivalent in France to the type of law usually called something like "minor in possession."




I take it that you are American. Here in Europe drinking alcohol is not the big deal that it is in some states of the USA. In France kids can drink wine in a restaurant with their parents. BUYING alcohol is a bigger deal. You have to be over 18 to purchase.
